You made memories galore which is mostly what these trips are about. Wonderful to spend some of this time with you and all the family. Thankful you are home safely. Sweet times! XO

Exactly! We are so grateful we got to go at all! The no AC just made the travels memorable in a different way. :) XO

Thank you, Emily, for that wonderful piece which shows how sometimes challenging and uncomfortable situations often make the most fondly remembered family adventures! It brought back fond memories of a late summer Wyoming to California (and back) trip my family of six took (in the mid 1980s) in a vehicle also without any air conditioning. My siblings and I have such fun recounting all the mishaps we endured on that trip, including losing our Atlas out the window, which was open, of course, because we had no air conditioning! 😊

Wow, Kelley! Thanks so much for sharing! I admit it; I laughed out loud at the atlas part. There were so many times I prayed that we wouldn't lose something out the windows! We didn't, other than air. I wonder if anyone found your atlas!

My John and I have been eeking along with a moody air conditioner in our car too. Sometimes she’s cool 😎; sometimes she’s not 🥵. While I feel your pain, I haven’t felt it on a round trip from Wyoming to South Carolina. The recent round trip from Missouri to South Carolina was plenty. Glad you made the best of it and enjoyed the laughter. I enjoyed “hearing” about it. 💕
